Memory - Rescuing Bertl after he transforms again

This memory starts with Liter and Cross hanging on to a line on one side of a massive wall. They exchange some quiet words of support and then Cross pushes Liter away letting him tumble toward the ground. But he doesn't hit the ground, there's a bright spark and a Cross uses his 3D maneuvering gear to push himself out of the way. When the flash and sudden burst of steam have cleared the Colossal Titan is standing where Liter was, tall enough to look over the wall.

The titan makes a lot of noise and kicks the wall, breaking a gate with his strike. Someone else with 3D maneuvering gear comes up from the other side of the wall to attack the Colossal Titan and he gets swatted at without being hit. The Colossal Titan starts expelling steam and instead of moving away, Cross veers closer.

Through the steam he can see the quickly deteriorating body of the massive titan and he goes straight for the back of the neck where he can grab Liter and move away again. Cross carries him as far away as he can as fast as he can and they just stay put, catching their breath until it's safe to go back to the other side of the wall.
